Never Again, The Hiroshima-Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibition is the centrepiece of a series of events including guest lectures, a film program and community events.
ABOUT
This exhibition commemorates 80 years since the dropping of the atomic bomb on populated human cities. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the first cities in the human history to experience the atomic bombing. In an instant, the cities were completely devastated and many lives were lost. The spirits and bodies of those who barely survived were wounded deeply, and the pain continues today, more than three quarters of a century later. Based on Japan’s tragic experience, they continue to appeal their wish to the world that such an event may never again occur on this planet.
The purpose of Never Again, The Hiroshima-Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibition is to present the facts of the atomic bombings and foster international sentiment regarding the abolition of nuclear weapons and generate vital discussion about our shared past, present and future. Alongside this exhibition is a series of Global Hibakusha Portraits by Mick Broderick, showing the impact of nuclear detonation on individuals and communities around the world.
Never Again, The Hiroshima-Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibition is a travelling exhibition from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, presented in collaboration with the Medical Association for the Prevention of War, the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear Free Western Australia.
In the lead up to Never Again, The Hiroshima Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibition, the Medical Association for the Prevention of War have also launched a sponsorship campaign. To secure your sponsorship opportunity, please see following Sponsorship Proposal document.
