ARTIST+Curator’s TALK
29 November @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Join us for an intimate conversation with artist Marcus Beilby and curator Connie Petrillo as they explore the themes and processes behind The Real and the Remembered .
This rare opportunity offers insight into Beilby’s photorealist practice spanning nearly five decades, from his earliest work “Whatever Happened to Sunday Mournings” (1979) to the luminous “Yellow Room” (2025). Discover how everyday objects—a shovel, a broom, a yellow room—are transformed through patient observation into meditations on memory and time.
Following the discussion, enjoy a guided tour of the exhibition where Marcus will share the stories behind individual works and his approach to capturing that liminal space between the real and the remembered. This is a unique chance to hear directly from an artist who has worked with quiet dedication toward this moment, building a body of work that asks us to reconsider how we see the ordinary world around us.
Each painting in this exhibition is a small act of preservation, a way of holding time still.
