The Holmes à Court Gallery opened on 4th February 2000 bringing to fruition a long held dream of Janet Holmes à Court. It is a space purpose designed to present focused exhibitions that examine the diversity and strengths of the Janet Holmes à Court Collection. In recent years we have presented exhibitions in collaboration with a variety of other stakeholders and have incorporated an annual Artist in Residence project.

Our changing programme includes events of national and international interest, developed through cultural, academic and business relationships. These events provide opportunities for conversation, discussions and debate about art and Australian culture and support the gallery’s contribution to the community.
